Front Entrance Update

posted Jan 28, 2014, 6:57 PM by EastHatchet Admin
The permit process with Pueblo County has now been completed.  Our new replacement required a Special Use Permit (because it is a "gateway sign") as well as a Zoning Variance (because our new sign exceeds six feet).  These applications were submitted by representatives of  our Sign Committee and Road Committee and were approved with Pueblo County.  Our next step is to acquire the sign construction permit and  begin construction.  Jim Elliott, our Road Committee Chairman, anticipates start of construction as soon as weather permits, and the new entrance should be completed by late spring/early summer. Preliminary work can and will be done without closing the entrance, but the actual construction will require closing the entrance for the good part of one day, possibly a second.  More information on this closing will be coming out as we get closer to that point.
